Empowering Black Women

Black Women in Media (BWIM) is the leading global platform celebrating, elevating, and empowering Black women across communications, media, entertainment, publishing, digital, TV & film, tech, and beyond. Since 2014, BWIM has championed representation, opened doors, and created intentional spaces where Black women are seen, supported, and celebrated.

Through our signature experiences — BWIM Awards and BWIMCon — we gather thousands in person and virtually for transformative conversations, masterclasses, workshops, and cultural activations that center the brilliance and resilience of Black women. Our expanding ecosystem includes a membership community, a digital publication, BWIM Books, and our upcoming OTT network dedicated to stories, news, and content that reflect our culture and our voices.

BWIM is a fast-growing powerhouse committed to advancing equity, amplifying opportunity, and building a sustainable future for Black women everywhere. Your support helps us continue inspiring, empowering, and shaping the next generation of leaders in media.
